Re: Problems with Potions

Is anyone else having problems brewing Doxycide? :?: I brewed part 1 twice before only one bottle showed up in my brewed collection. After I brewed it the second time, the button to allow me to brew part 2 showed up. I successfully brewed part 2 but it didn't show up in my brewed collection and it will not let me brew another part 2. Image

Hmm? That is odd. I'm glad you were able to complete the potion though. :) Did this only happen once? :?:

I had this exact same experience, I restarted so many times before I figured out that it really was working. I'm using latest version of chrome.

I had been avoiding potions since then, due to not wanting to waste materials, but tonight I've started brewing the swelling solution and everything seems to be working fine. So maybe it's only the practice mode that's messed up.

It sounds like it's a glitch. You could try doing these steps to see if any of them work.
- Make sure that you are using the latest browser and Flash player.
- Have you tried clearing your browser's cache and cookies? If not, then clear them and try to brew the potion again.
- You could also try using a different browser to see if that works.

If none of those work, then your best bet would be to contact Pottermore. At the bottom of any page on Pottermore click where it says help, then click "other". Next click "What's Next" & finally click on "Need More Help". That will open up a form that you can use to contact Pottermore.

I just signed up for pottermore, and have been having problems with the potion glitches already mentioned. Now, I get an error message for even attempting to load the page. Another forum suggested purchasing everything in the first year shopping list which I had already done. Still encountering error... help?

Could you tell us the exact error message? And describe the steps you go through before getting it?

I log in to pottermore (cookies cant be an issue, because I've tried multiple browsers on multiple device) and try to access the potions page. Regardless of time of day or site traffic, I get the same error message: "Sorry there was a problem with this page. Maybe someone has cast a spell over this page because it's not loading correctly. Please come back and try again." Even if it's a brand new device/browser...

Hmmm, that's very odd.

Do either of the following links work for you:

Potions page
Cure for Boils
Brewed potions

And, have you already collected at least one of the following books:
-Magical Drafts and Potions
-Moste Potente Potions
-Book of Potions

I figured it out... Perhaps it is another glitch. I had already purchased Magical Drafts and Potions, however it was not in my "items". So I went back to Flourish and Blotts and bought it again, and potions started working. Thanks for the help.
