I don't have problems with my password. I changed the registered e-mail in my account settings and just wanted to know if I'd receive messages in the new e-mail. So, I logged off and clicked the "forgotten your username?", in order to receive my username in the new e-mail. I fill the form with my new e-mail and nothing arrives. I fill with the old and it works. But I don't want the old, I changed it!

Ah! I misunderstood. :oops:
That means that the new e-mail has not been accepted yet. Did you follow the link that you got in the confirmation e-mail about your change of e-mail address? That mail would have gone to your old e-mail address. Go find that and try the confirmation link. It may be that the link has expired, in that case just change your e-mail addy in the account settings again and this time go find the confirmation mail and click the link. The mail may take up to serveral hours to arrive, but not more than 24 hours. :opharry:

I didn't delete it!!! I went on and checked and I did the right email and password and it said "This username was not found" or something and then I wrote forgot my username just in case I got it wrong and put in my email but it said something like my email is not connected to pottermore or something like that so the person either changed the username and password or deleted it?!? Anyway I did sorting again and got into Ravenclaw do from now on I'll tell my friends I got a hatstall between Ravenclaw and Slytherin or something : D I guess I will be Slytherin on here but since I was obsessed with Ravenclaw and have all the stuff I'll be a Ravenclaw in real life I'll be faithful to both but I know Slytherin is my real house… but as I said I will pride both! : D

"Name not found" doesn't necessarily mean you've been deleted; it's just a computer generated error text. Give me your old user name and I'll check if you are still there.

Okay, ElmFeather20135 is indeed not there.

So, let me get this:
ElmFeather20135 has existed but does not exist anymore. But you do still want to be ElmFeather20135, right?
Some one who is NOT you has caused ElmFeather20135 to have been deleted, right? (You didn't delete ElmFeather20135 yourself, did you?) Who do you think might have deleted ElmFeather20135?

edit:
If you've been deleted against your will and you want your account back, you should tell Pottermore so. It's a case of, if you don't ask, you won't get. You may still not get your account back, but at least you will have tried...

I have no idea who deleted my old account or why they would want to delete it! I think I might right to Pottermore Team but I don't think they can ever get back an old account... Unsure of this but I don't think so! I like my new name anyway so I'll keep it so, I don't mind my new account besides getting people to add me again… it will be fun going through the adventures of PM again : D but however I will still contact PM to say what has happened!

If you didn't delete yourself and you haven't received an e-mail from Pottermore that they have deleted you (which you would get if that was the case and they would give you a reason for the deletion too) than the only other options are that a serious error occurred or that someone hacked into your account and deleted you.

As for getting it back; Pottermore, like any other any other big site, would keep back ups of the settings (like account info) just in case the entire site was destroyed by hardware failure. So the information on your account probably still exists. Now the big question is, do they have a software set-up that makes it easy (not just possible) to put your account back? There is no way for us to know that. All we can do is ask them to put you back and see what happens.

As for keeping your new name if they can put you back; in the PM rules it says you can only have one account on PM. So I would think that would have to choose: either ask for your old account back and lose the new one or keep the new one and forget about the old one. I don't think it they can give you your old settings back with your new name, sorry.

Other options; you could try asking for a list of the friends you had on PM. Again this could be a possible thing they might be able to do easily. Also again, there is no way for us to know if it would actually be easy. But it would be worth a try. With the list you can just refriend everybody (or those you really want to refriend!)

About writing PM about this; yes, absolutely! They very much need to know when accounts are deleted without the owner's permission! Even if it won't fix anything for you, it may prevent this situation from occurring for other Potter fans! If you want, I can help you phrase the letter so it's as informative as it can be in 500 words or less. We can do it here or via the mail system of this forum.

Yeah I truly don't know what I want anymore! I like my new name but it's annoying losing all my house points and when I do earn points they go to Ravenclaw! I don't know but I guess I should send a letter to the PM Team but I just can't think why I should bother if I don't mind with my new account
