Oh I saw this site.... sorry i couldn't find link in my history... and it said 83% of people who get hatstalls between something and Gryffindor choose Gryffindor... Isn't too suprising..... but everyone who didn't is an awesome 17%

It's not common. I suppose it's like when you do a Visual Audio Kinetic test, it's rare to get it perfectly equal between the 3.

I myself was a hatstall between Hufflepuff and Slytherin. When I took the test I was unaware that this meant choosing. I figured everyone got asked a choice between a couple of houses, and this just added to your answers, but didn't necessarily mean you'd end up in that house. So I chanted 'not Slytherin, please not Slytherin'. ;]

I don't see being a hatstall as making you fit less into a house. On the contrary it shows a determination to be in that house, and in a way this means a stronger connection the the house than you'd otherwise have had.

I think I would feel perhaps MORE a part of Ravenclaw if I had chosen it instead of been given it. Showing that kind of loyalty and love for a house really makes you a member of it IMO. :)

I once saw a Tumblr post of someone who said they got a 4-way hatstall...but didn't get into the house they clicked on, so I'm guessing that was a lie?

If it is true, however, it seems to at least indicate secondary weighing on specific questions does come into play a lot. ;P

I was a 2-way G/S hatstall, and did choose Gryffindor.

My sister was a hatstall between Slytherin & Hufflepuff, but the flash player or internet connection or something froze and freaked out when she tried to choose, she had to close internet and go back in and take the test again and she got Gryffindor without a hatstall on the second test, which gave different questions. Lol.

Whoa! He got to CHOOSE since he was a hatstall? What did he pick? :D Anyway, I do think that's rather rare. Usually you get to choose between two, Harry was SLytherin and Gryffindor, Hermione was Ravenclaw and Gryffindor, and Neville was Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. That's cool, He's a Harr-ivlle Granger???
