deaniebeanie: Your wand is cypress and phoenix feather right? So is my brother's. He's in Gryffindor, and to be honest, cypress tends to chose Gryffie-kids. Not to say you're Gryffie-esque xP just:

"Cypress wands are associated with nobility. The great medieval wandmaker, Geraint Ollivander, wrote that he was always honoured to match a cypress wand, for he knew he was meeting a witch or wizard who would die a heroic death. Fortunately, in these less blood-thirsty times, the possessors of cypress wands are rarely called upon to lay down their lives, though doubtless many of them would do so if required. Wands of cypress find their soul mates among the brave, the bold and the self-sacrificing: those who are unafraid to confront the shadows in their own and others’ natures."

Highlighted buzz-words in associated house colors ^^

That's pretty true Bex, but to be fair, those attributes also sound pretty descriptive of Snapes personality (besides the whole "bold" part), and he was a Slytherin through and through. (Even though he's most likely to have Birch as his wand wood since it correlates with his birthday on the Celtic calendar; but you get my point)

While I don't consider myself noble, I find myself being rather self sacrificing for those that I love. :) It's pretty awesome your brother and I have the same wand wood and core though! He's the first person I've met with both of them.

Mine is Apple with a Dragon core and is Slightly Springy, 13 inches.
With Apple not liking Dark magic, Dragon Heartstrings being temperamental and the whole wand being Slightly Springy - good luck to whoever tries to steal it! xD
Describes me pretty well though -shrugs-

Us apple owners gotta stick together xP I haven't yet seen an apple wand user in Pottermore's Slytherin common room, or in the great hall for that matter, it's interesting that we have so many (compared) in PFF. I almost got an ebony wand though, had I chosen determination instead of resilience (which I nearly did)...

Your dragon core probably counters the aversion to the dark arts a bit. My wand (being unicorn core) would rebel against me if I told it to harm another person, or use a nasty spell, without provocation.

Yes we do, and you shall see one soon, Bex :)
I actually chose Imagination xD
On one of my experimental accounts I chose Resilience and it gave me a Walnut one x.x
I think cores are easy to figure out though. As in, how to get the core you want. The wood is trickier, butI have pretty much figured out the Wands test - as in what answer influences what about your wand - in general of course, not in full detail :) Still having trouble with the House test, though I'm inclined to accept the theory that in most questions, answers give points to your overall test score for more than one house only.

My answers were - Green, Tall for my age, Imagination, Forest, Darkness. Not giving up all of the answers xD
What I figured out for sure is that your height usually determines the length, the Sea, Forest and Castle are wand cores, the qualities and fears combo determines the wood, and that the item you picked from the chest could influence everything from adding or subtracting from the wand length you had at that point of the quiz, to the wood and/or core and/or rigidity. Or! it can do nothing. :)

My wand has Phoenix Feather at its core, is 10 inches in length, is made of Pine, and is hard in flexibility. Anyone? :)

Mine couldn't be more different. Has nothing in common with Harry's. Probably that's why I am so whole-heartedly Slytherin?
