The Dunderheads (Snape's Fan Club)

In the Great Hall, clubs of all kinds convene. Some political, some to fawn over a favourite character, others to practice the most obscure spells.

Moderators: Nim, covlolly

At what point did you realize that Snape wasn't a villian?

I never suspected him of being a villain.

Yes, that scene is really touching... Snape is an awesome character, a total jerk to the trio, and yet still manages to be a tragic character. :/

I trusted Snape the whole time, because I entirely loved and understood his character--and because I trusted JKR to not be a crappy writer. :D Okay, so, more the last half. Hehe, and I also realized that if Snape were evil, the Light Side would be so totally screwed and would lose...

And of course, that would never happen. It is geared towards children after all, and most of them have happy endings.
Clearly, any Snape haters didn't think things through properly!
Go Snape! :D <3

Snape!!!!!! How I mourn and pity for you! I want to cry when I hear your sad tales, and grieve with you as you held the dead Lily in your arms...

I have always loved him, not for thinking he was good, but for just... sensing something of him that left me staring each time he wa on the screen or in the book. I actually like him better than Potter, when it comes to relationships. Harry has conflicted loves and friends, too, but it does not have the depth of Snape, as his eyes were held on one woman as he laid down his life for others.

As I sit in my room rewatching his death an memories on YouTube, I want to rush to the scene and tell him it's not all for nothing! Fight on for your love! It will last through death!

Maybe his death made us all the closer to the romantic, tearful enigma that is Severus Snape.

Yes, it is easy to see that nearly six years of magical education have not been wasted on you, Potter. Ghosts are transparent

Probably not. I don't think his dignity can bear it.... Perhaps to him and all Snape haters, the club will simply read: The true Slytherin prince appreciation group?

Can't believe I have been on this site over a week and only just found this club. I chose the last option obviously.

I'm not sure that I loved him from the start I think it was more of a gradual thing as we learnt more about him I got to like him more. Didn't hurt that he was played by one of my favourite actors as well.

Was devastated when JK Rowling had him kill Dumbledore as I was really sure he was on the side of good. I did spend a lot of time, between The Half Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows, with anyone who would listen coming up with wilder and wilder theories as to why he killed Dumbledore trying to make him the hero. All my friends laughed and thought I was mad.

Have to say though JK Rowling didn't let us down thats one of the reasons I love the whole series so much, despite it being designed mainly for children she would never do anything as obvious. I think Snape turning out to be a hero and Harrys understanding of this is part of the whole theme of Harry learning to trust Dumbledore in the last book.

Aspy, I think he actually commented on this once XD It was not pretty... o-o

I think the fact he was played by Alan Rickman helped XD But I liked his character a tad from the beginning, and it grew from book to book.

Really, Dawn? *makes mental note to self to search for it later*

His character is one of the most complex in the series. Complex characters are always nice characters to like, because they have both good and bad to them. Will multiple motives too :D
