At what point did you realize that Snape wasn't a villian?

I never suspected him of being a villain.

Nice to see so many new members. Welcome to everyone. :D

My favourite Snape quote, apart from the Always one which is way too obvious, is...

Fudge: "Ah well, Snape ... Harry Potter, you know ... we've all got a bit of a blind spot where he's concerned."
Snape: "And yet -- is it good for him to be given so much special treatment? Personally, I try and treat him like any other student."

Love this one. Really makes me laugh when I read it.

Nice question Hermione. :D

I have a policy that you should never regret anything you have done as like Skyye says, every action you take shapes who you are.

I do however regret things I didn't do because I was too scared maybe. There are a few missed opportunities in my life, I would like to be able to go back and take.

I also have a policy of not regretting things but, like Ash, some things I would have liked to do that I was to scared to do. Like many said, each action of yours shapes who you are, but I could've made myself potentially different to who I am now. I love the extremely obvious 'Always', but also the 'If you're not the bunch of dunderheads I usually have to teach' one. Not sure I've got the words right, but you know what I'm talking about, right?

Accio Severus! Tut tut Snapeward ( ), you should know the Awesomeness Code of Conduct requires you to always visit your fan club!

Thank you guys for sharing. :D I hope you share more quotes, pictures, art, etc. As for the question, of changing things knowing the things I know now. I probably would change things knowing what I know now. Hindsight can be 20/20.

Hey Bren and Chaser welcome to the Dunderheads :D

Do y'all have a favorite quote or gif of Snape that you would like to share?

I love that move too. It really showed his power and prowess at dueling and how he didn't fight Professor McGonagall. Not really.

Now, to share my favorite gif of Snape. Since I just finished watching the movie series this week :)

My favorite gif is tied between two moments. One in the second movie during the dueling club scene when Snape enters and when he kicks Lockhart's clock.

The second is in the third movie, I believe but I might be wrong. When Snape makes his exit down the darkened Hogwarts corridor.

That is just pure awesome right there y'all. Just saying ;) :D

Hey guys, can I join? :P
Snape is one of my favourite characters. I don't always agree with him, but throughout the series he's one of the most layered and best rounded characters. There's so much to him; more than any other character I might say.
I especially love that with every book you find out more about where his loyalties lie, and sometimes Rowling tries to confuse the reader. That's why I voted for 'he confused me, so I suspected him off and on', but everything fell into place at the end of the story. He led a very troubled life, but I'm glad that at the end his heroic deeds were rewarded and that Harry managed to clear his name in the wizarding world.
The real things haven't changed. It is still best to be honest and truthful; to make the most of what we have; to be happy with simple pleasures and to be cheerful and have courage when things go wrong. - Laura Ingalls Wilder
