T.O.A.D.
Hello all!
This club has been started to encourage the use of other spells in dueling, even if only in practice.
As the lovely Netz put it:
Netz wrote:Personally, I think everyone's constant use of petrificus totalus is boring... the other spells are more fun to cast... even if they aren't worth as much... just wanted to put that out there haha.
Not only does she have a good point, she is not alone in her aversion to the overuse of Petrificus Totalus.
Hearing her friend's anguish, the wonderful DawnMagic40 posited the following:
DawnMagic40 wrote:Maybe we should start a club on here to challenge people with certain spells other than Full-Body Bind?
Thus, The Order Against the over-use of petrificus totalus in Dueling was formed.
However, something was amis... Thankfully, the brilliant OakNight had a solution:
OakNight wrote:NimbusHeart42 wrote:If we notice that the majority of people are using a certain spell to often, we will request that users no longer use it.
If this happens we could call ourselves something like
"The Order Against monotonous Dueling"
and still maintain the acronym
Here, you may join the club as well as view the lovely list of members below (ranked). Please post requests for dueling partners on this thread as well as the results (just a note from the winner please).
We are here to celebrate the inherent beauty found in the other spells, so please enjoy those spells that have been abandoned to the more powerful ones out there.
If you choose to join, you may post an image of the toads in your signature. (See below)
Thank you,
Nim

Announcements:
(Please PM me if you have an idea for a competition of some sort or would like to post a T.O.A.D. related announcement)
We will be holding a competition during the month of January to see who is the best T.O.A.D. duelist of all. Since this is the first month of the club's existence, the rankings above will have to do. The contest starts today and will last the month. Perhaps if the Mods acquiesce, there may be a small monetary (by which I mean PFF point) prize the next time an individual point contest comes around...
