1531/4157

Postby IceCat » August 17th, 2011, 7:48 am

Since this does not seem to be at all relevant to the site at this point, I'm going to post it here and hope a savvier person than I can explain in.

In one of the moments, in Harry's closet by the lightbulb, there are spinning numbers that read 1531 at first, the spin to 4157 when you hover over them. Any theory as to what they may mean? This is the only instance of mysterious numbers that I have found.

I didn't see them the first time, but thanks for pointing them out! No idea what they mean though...=/ Could it just be the water meter?

Well, I have no clue =P
But I'd be interested if they do mean something.

I've tried adding the numbers, subtracting the numbers, Dividing them by each other, taking the numbers and putting them in relation to phone letters, letters of the alphabet... I got nothing.

There are about 4000 pages total in the series, right? I think it is somewhere around that number. Wonder what they both mean tho... >.<

I just Googled it. A few other people have noticed it, but nobody knows what it is. Check if it has anything to do with the number 7. There were 7 books, 7 days, 7 chances, each Quill challenge answer was a multiple of 7, 7 weeks between now and september 30th, and JKR has stated many times that 7 is a powerful magic number. Multiply, divide, subtract, add, whatever. I bet they are somehow related...

Alright, both numbers are prime, which means they can't be divided without coming out as a fraction. That takes out the division aspect of it all, I suppose...

Huh... Well, they couldn't be times because of 4157. I'm not sure, but they must mean something. I'd bet my favorite HP book that they mean something important, too.
