Quidditch Season Tickets fee

This is great, I noticed the income and luxury tax too. "Quidditch season ticket" will look awesome on the board so let's go with it for the luxury tax space.

Sunset, great card ideas, I'll get to them after the properties :)

I actually changed the groupings. For some reason, the more I see the 3 inns grouped together the more I like it. Thanks again for the help everyone. What are your thoughts?

Brown (2 Slots.) “Shacks”
Shrieking Shack?
Hut on the Rock? (either this or Gaunt's shack. I think the hut on the rock is more widely known.)

Light Blue (3 Slots) “Inns” (I love the 3 inn's together)
Three Broomsticks Inn
The Leaky Cauldron
Hog's Head Inn

Pink (3 Slots) “Diagon Alley” (Plenty of shops to choose from)
Ollivanders
Flourish and Botts
Borgin and Burkes

Orange (3 Slots) “Wizard homes”
Hagrid’s Hut
4 Privet Drive
Lovegood House (Grimmaulds Place is vying for a place here, but loses out)

Red (3 Slots) “the Weasleys” (Lets bump them up in value, because it's the Weasleys' after all)
The Burrow
Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes
Shell Cottage

Yellow (3 Slots) “Hogsmeade Village” (Grouping the inns frees up more options for this)
Dervish and Banges
Honeydukes
Zonko's Joke Shop

Green (3 Slots) “Schools” (We HAVE to feature Hogwarts somewhere, so why not the other 2 schools too)
Durmstrang
Beauxbatons
Hogwarts

Blue (2 Slots) “Stately Manor Homes” (Alright they are an evil combination, but imagine the fear of landing on a dark blue when the other player has both properties and upgraded, the rent will be extortionate! Fitting for the old blood rich wizard houses.
Riddle (manor) House
Malfoy Manor

I absolutely love having the blue squares as Riddle House and Malfoy Manor. Whatever you do, please don't change that xD

So, here are a few silly ideas for chance and/or community chest cards. Also, are we going to keep those names or try to change them to fit our theme?

  1. Get caught flying a Muggle car over London. Ministry finds out and fines you. 25g?
  2. Discover new breed of dragon while researching magical properties of lava in Iceland. Ministry awards you for your good luck. 100g?
  3. Stutter while using Floo Network. You end up in a highly classified, secure section of the Ministry. Guards detain you and send you to Azkaban for questioning. Go directly to Azkaban.
  4. Broom goes awry, starts going into reverse. Move back 3 spaces.
  5. Find a small coin purse in Diagon Alley. Collect 15g?

I'll keep working on ideas, same as Sunset. Let us know if you want a specific type of event for any of the cards!

ETA game piece switch ideas:

Wheelbarrow - Cauldron
Battleship - the Durmstrang ship
Racecar - Weasley's Ford Anglia
Thimble - Wand
Old-style shoe (or boot) - Broom
Scottie dog - Fluffy or Hound
Top hat - Sorting hat

Properties all finished! :)

I've attached a teaser of the full board so far. Rhynn, they sit so well in the dark blue spaces I'll definitely keep them.

Thanks Dani, and next I think I'll decide what to do for the 4 Railroads and design the Gringotts tax + Quidditch season pass squares. You know I saw one person had used Horcruxes for the game pieces.

Thanks guys :D

Who's idea was it to try the Hogwarts Houses as the railway stations? I tried that idea, although it doesn't make total sense. BUT it does give me an excuse to throw on these wonderful splashes of colour onto the board!

That would have been me, but I never thought of the gameplay of it just that there were four of them.

The board looks brilliant.

Well that's all the board spaces filled except for the community chests and chance cards. (And the Go and azkaban spaces but I'll keep e minimal.)

So onto the fun part. Finalising the card ideas, and all ideas welcome. I'll start to make a list, counting the ones already suggested.

Community Chests - Ministry of Magic!

Chance - Elves? Goblins? Room of Requirement? Gringotts? Elves cards might be fun but let me know what you think would work best.
*EDIT - maybe a mix of all the above?

Thanks again!

(I hope the board isn't looking too "busy")

PS. In order to try and create a consistant look, given that I'm using photos and paintings, I've tried to give the images a painted effect -

Everything looks great, the daily prophet and the quibbler look awesome as the utilities. Loving the quidditch and gringotts taxes too.

Though, wondering... wouldn't Hufflepuff be amongst the least expensive and Gryffindor next to the Weasley's and the most expensive.

Hufflepuff - Copper
Ravenclaw - Bronze
Slytherin - Silver
Gryffindor - Gold

That was more or less my reasoning. But, it looks great either way.
