I see ^^
Do you have an account at deviantART? =)
There are such amazing artists there, they're mostly the people responsible for my inspiration and reference/models xD Some even did a few tutorials which I found really helpful! If you wish, I could send you a PM with the the links to their accounts ^^

At the moment I'm obsessed with The Mortal Instruments, I'm reading the books, AGAIN! To stop myself pining too much for the next one to come out, I've been making a series of sigs based on the books and films. I've still got a few characters to go :)

Do you use GIMP or PS or do you use another program? I tried drawing on GIMP with my laptop (since I have a touch screen) and my fingers get in the way and I can't see and I tried tablet styluses and they just don't work on my screen. Do you use a a drawing tablet or are you just totally skilled with a touchpad? :D

Oh and Sapph, they are really cool. I have never read mortal instruments, looking at your sigs... I think I have an idea about it though.

I actually draw on paper first and then scan it in. I then set the layer style to either multiply or darken (don't remember which) so that all of the black lines remain black but the white areas of the paper become transparent. I did all the coloring with a mouse though, which is a bit tedious. I'm sure a drawing tablet would make things easier, but I don't have one. ;) (Oh, and I use PS because that is what I am most comfortable with, but I'm sure you could do the same thing in the GIMP.

Hey So I did a series of disney princesses for my sister on PS to get printed for her birthday (she's 28 but still a little princess at heart ;D )
(If you wanna see them just click right here on my DA page.)
and I wanted something similar for me.. but seeing as i'm not quite as Princessy as my sister I decided to do a series on my favourite fictional heroines.

it's just the two right now.. was considering others but there's no point in drawing them just for the sake of it.
These two girls are my favourites. and I think they look quite strong next to each other! What do you think?

EDIT: (You can see them bigger here: Katniss Everdeen /// Hermione Granger
