Work-In-Progress (W.I.P.) Topic

Postby deaniebeanie » July 16th, 2012, 8:03 pm

Hey everyone. I figured this thread was long overdue; I'm not sure about you, but I'm always wanting to post whatever small project I'm currently working on. :)
Here is where you can post whatever you're currently working on, whether it be drawn, graphic art, pixel art, jewelry, or any other form of art imaginable.

If you're posting graphic art such as signatures or wallpaper, please remember to "Save" as both a PSD, GIMP, or whatever program you're using file, and then save as an image file.
Wouldn't want to save it and never be able to edit it again, now would we?

Here is me playing with a bunch of brushes I had recently downloaded. Not sure what else I want to do with it though. :I The image is quite big, so watch out.

I'm also currently working on a drawing for the RP - but it's literally just circles and squiggles right now. I'll post it up here whenever it's more discernible.

Thanks Hermione! Glad that you like the idea. :) If anyone is interested, I have the final product of that previous graphic thingy in my own Art Gallery.

Here is what I'm currently working on: Portrait shots of some RP characters that are officially dubbed as the "New Marauders". So far I've only finished one though, which is Rhynns character Pyro. XD
This one is Facundos character, Felix. Going to color it whenever I get home!

Any artwork you say? That's great then!

I dunno if memes count but anyway so far am doing this Favorite Villains meme just for fun and am having second thoughts on the empty remaining boxes:
Spoiler: show
Image

Top Row: Shishio Makoto (Rurouni Kenshin), Joker, Darth Vader, Loki
Middle: Scar, Melkor (LOTR), Darth Maul (Star Wars), Witch-King :D
Bottom: The Outsider (Watchers by Dean Koontz and thinking of changing this), Ringwraiths (gonna change this),Gellert Grindelwald, Prince Charming from Shrek

The meme is not transparent so I had a hard time transforming, reducing the opacity of the pics and erasing the excess pixels..XD

Nice meme Skyye! Yeah, I've always have trouble transforming an object and not making it look squished and deformed. I'm sure there is a command or something to transform to the proper ratio, but alas, I'm too lazy to find out what it is dumb.

I notice you don't have any Ghibli villains in your repertoire - is there any evil-doers from them that you enjoy? Also, you have Melkor but not Sauron? :O

Hey Skyye, I'm not sure what program you use, but to make your work easier, could you just add the same shape on top (using a rounded rectangle tool), then place the image on top of the rounded rectangle and group it with the previous layer (crtl + G in Photoshop)? Then you could just add a red rectangle border on top of that and you would have to do any erasing at all. I hope that makes sense. ;)
