Pottermore Question (PLease Help!) - Indexed

Postby NewtRune » August 30th, 2011, 3:52 pm

Hi,

I'm still waiting for my pottermore welcome letter (unforetunatley), but I have some questions for those of you that are already in!

1) I may be on holidays when I get my letter, do you have to validate anything?

2) Once you've finished the Philsophers Stone can you still do things on the site like make potions?

3) If the answer to number 2) was yes, then what can you do?

4) Is it what you exspected, or is it more or less? Why?

Sorry, these were just some things that I wanted to know. I don't want to miss out on early entry, finish the whole game and have nothing to do, and/or be dissapointed at what I get when I finally get my letter. Also could you leave your usename so I can add you as a friend when I get in. I'm NewtRune179 and I'm from Australia and I'm a girl!

Hi! Hopefully I'll be able to answer your questions properly. :D

1. There's no time limit for you to activate something like the first letter had. This is just letting you know that you can access the site anytime you want - don't worry, your account is already confirmed.

2. Yep, you most definitely can!

3. Right now, potions making is the only 'game' that's up - they're working on the wizard duel. But you can always re-explore chapters and make sure you collected all the items.

4. It's great for a beta stage (running out the door now, sorry I can't answer more in depth!) xD

Edit: Backish! To expand on qu.4, it's good for a beta site, but it's not quite enough to keep users entertained until the second book comes out. You won't want to rush through it like I did, as once you finish you won't have a huge range of things to do. Potion making does become a bit monotonous, but hopefully the return of Wizard Duels will liven things up.

Btw, I'm from Australia too! Nice to meet you! I'll add you as soon as I'm on a computer, I'm HallowFeather27. :)

Thank you! That anwered all of my questions. I'm still waiting for my letter but I didn't want to rush through as you say and then have nothing to do. I'm excited to get my letter though!

I don't really know what house I want to be in though! Everyone seems to have a house and are saying "I want to be in---" I don't. I suppose I don't want to be in Gryffindor. Everyone is in Gryffindor...Now i think about it probably Ravenclaw...

The sorting is actually really different. in my eyes its the most accurate. JK designed it herself!

Oh, okay! That's good then. Thank you! My friend said some of the questions were funny like: left or right? And heads or tails? JK must have some sort of explanation for this though!

I've heard that people think that the more irrelevant questions might help the sorting hat decide where to put you when you are tied between two houses.

You'd be surprised; I haven't heard anyone tell me they want to be in Gryffindor... Slytherin and Ravenclaw seem to be the favourites. On that note...

Ravenclaw, represent!

Pottermore username is the same as the one here: SilverHeart52 :)
